Hélène gave an inspiring presentation. She could certainly make any person take on a new appreciation for our planet and those of us who live on it. I would recommend her presentation for every teacher & student.

Your intercultural experience is outstanding and you are bringing up the real key issues. Nobody can remain unaffected! You are just the kind of keynote speaker that we need in order to promote intercultural understanding.

First of all, thanks once again for a wonderful presentation! Our students are still talking about it!

Your work at North touched many students. Your voice of compassion as well as your message of defender complacency is just the right balance to take students to the point of struggle between information and meaning; an important gray area for students this age. I especially enjoyed watching you adapt your discussion with various groups of students to shape your presentation to different classroom situations, and I thank you for your willingness to invest so much talent energy into our school.

We here at CODE are still abuzz from your presentation. Everyone emailed me to say how much they enjoyed your presentation and especially how you have changed the way that they will view the world - this from many people who have been abroad many, many times.

..Ms. Tremblays talk was entertaining, insightful and thought provoking. I appreciated and enjoyed how she challenged existing viewpoints about poverty, materialism and how culture and nature interact.

As the Guidance Counselor and Character Education Coordinator, I have been teaching students about tolerance and compassion. The experiences you shared with us helped students better understand these important values. It was a pleasure hearing about your inspiring experiences. Enjoy the remainder of your journey enriching the lives of others!

As you mentioned after the conference about Families of the world, I am speechless as well

I could not resist the temptation, Helene, to scribble (in the dark) the many profound and poetic statements that were an integral part of your presentation. Like a rich wine, your thoughts are distilled from the vats of experience, giving the listener so much to savour and to linger over.

Thanks so much for promoting the Helene Tremblays presentation
it was a significant and moving presentation of families, compassion and connectedness. What a perfect segue into my first class of social studies this afternoon

I will also always remember the little child standing with the knife. I thought that was such a frightening image but then to hear the story behind it. Wow, I never would have thought of something like that. It taught me that everyone has their story and not to be so quick to judge. Strange how we think that we have given thought to all the things she brought up but the way she presented them left an impression in my mind that will stay with me for a long time and will hopefully often be reflected upon during my career as an educator.
